ok, I have to do a lot of work and I draw draw draw draw so I don't have time to updat.. no, I'm just too lazy to update this blog and my internet connection is slow. when I've got one.
so I think I'll put here my last drawing and my last sketch, tell you to add me on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/sumi90) to see every shit I make and go back to work. maybe one day I'll remake this blog's graphic and try to upload it seriously.

Plus, I made another commission for feliane.deviantart.com (based on her character) using illustrator + photoshop. I must admit I'm proud of it, though I wasn't happy at all with it at the beginning.

Scarpetta d'oro is an international contest about children's illustration, organized by the Riviera del Brenta, an Italian centre known for its footwear.

Uh wow, Blogger is finally on. So, let's start!
Here is a print made for school by carving Linoleum. I adore this tecnique! I was a bit scared before trying but I enjoyed it so much. :D I've always been fascinated by print process!

This one is a digital piece made for the project Haiku 4 Happiness, born to help Japan after the disasters. media: acrylic + collage + photoshop. mainly photoshop, 'cause I changed my mind after seeing how much I CAN'T make collages.

and this is a school work. we were free to use acrylics to make something original, so I put together the 2 things I've been into since the start of school: birds and music. The notes belong to Stairway to Heaven <3

Bamboo Europe contest

There's an italian contest that could help me get a wacom Bamboo, so I decided to try making something :D my intuos is getting old, I don't want it to overwork.

when your scanner hates its owner

I can't find the way to calibrate my scanner and change it back as it was. it used to NEVER give me full whites, but I could easily fix it. now it gives me the brightest colors and KILLS all the shading passages from *any color* to white. so here is a bad scan of one of the drawings I'm making for shool

they all look a bit better in "real life". I didn't want to waste watercolor paper for these ones since I was just testing the final look of the little book I'm doing for school.

ok I think I should really go on with this blog. I'll force myself to draw a lot like I used to do some months ago and to PUT THERE what I draw. Both sketches and finished pieces. I think this is going to be a looong post.
Let's start from the last thing I made. I should call it "sketch" because it's something related to an illustration that'll be done for school within 6 weeks.

This one is a bit older but not too much. I made it on october 8. It nearly killed me and yet I'm not completely satisfied with it x___x dunno what's wrong, maybe too much blue and not enough stuff and details.
